It's a good game, but there are quite a few things missing: most notably new spells to learn and ways to spend your gold. Whats the use of a creature that is weak to earthshock if you cannot play an earth shock spell?

Also the king in east something offered you a spell and none could be chosen.
A reason for deviating from the shortest path would be nice.
All in all a good game, but needs some more.
